The Friends of the Homeless in Fareham and Gosport is a Christian Charity with many of our volunteers coming from the local churches. However, we are very pleased to welcome anyone with a caring heart and willing hands as a volunteer.
We appreciate any help that you may be able to offer, and this could be in a number of ways. It could be that you are able to spare a couple of hours once a week or may be able to help on an irregular basis to cover for people on holiday or sick. We sometimes also require assistance with secretarial work, fund raising and maintenance work at the centre.
We invite all prospective volunteers to come in to talk to us about who we are and what we do; this may include a taster session to experience working with us. As we are responsible for the wellbeing of our clients, we will then ask you to complete a simple application form where we will require the contact details of two referees. We reserve the right to decline your offer.
